Tenant services
When you are looking at renting a property through Holland Properties Ltd there are a few basic steps that need to be followed:
- When a let has been agreed you will be required to pay a deposit to confirm your intention to let the property (this will be deducted from the balance of move in monies). The property will then be removed from the market and held until your required move in date.
- References will then be undertaken via our independent referencing agent to include current landlord, employment and personal references.
- On the day of moving into the property you will be required to come to our office to sign the contracts and pay the balance of move in monies (One calendar months rent, six weeks security deposit and an administration and referencing fee). The security deposit will then be returned at the end of the tenancy subject to a check out report and the terms and the tenancy agreement.
As members of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) your deposit is registered and a certificate is provided with your unique reference number. In order to comply with the terms of their membership we need to include specific clauses within the tenancy agreement and therefore Holland Properties will only use our own tenancy agreements to protect all parties involved.
